Bed

Bed is a piece of furniture, which is used as a place to sleep, rest, and relax. In modern age bed consists of a soft, cushioned mattress on a bed frame. The mattress rest either on a solid base,often wood slats, or sprung base. Beds are available in many sizes, ranging from single person to adult, there are for instance single bed, to large queen size and king size beds designed for two people. While most bed are single mattresses on fixed frame, there are other varieties, such as Murphy bed, which folds into a wall, the sofa bed, which folds out of a sofa, and the bunk bed. Bed may have headboard for resting against, and may have side rails and foot boards. to support the head, a pillow made of a soft padded material usually place on top of the mattress.
